Habakkuk, Nahum, and other prophets are recorded as burdened with a vision of what the Lord had spoken to them. My burden has put my life on hold while I’ve struggled with what needs to be said. My heart is heavy with grief and sorrow. I am sad and I feel the sadness of God.

My whole body is filled with grief as I watch the news and listen to the greed and hate-filled speeches. I pray for revival in the hearts of Christians everywhere. God, send Your love into our hearts and fill us with Your righteous anger against the atrocities of our world.

The church is in trouble. Not just the church in America, but all over the world as believers are being deceived by the spirit of the Antichrist. God’s heart is heavy with grief as those in authority lead His people into the midst of evil. His sadness increases when His children parrot words of hate and anger and let loose evil power into the world.

I cry with Habakkuk, how long, O Lord, do I get no answer from You?

Violence is all around. Distress takes over our world. Countries are filled with unrest and riots. People are downtrodden. Why must I see the atrocities of the evil ones. Why am I watching such wickedness? Disaster, violence, conflict, and controversy rage all around me. Injustice prevails. Innocents are surrounded and justice is perverted. It is happening in our restaurants and stores, at our borders, on the streets, and in our homes.

I see it happening everywhere and it is not good. Unrest lives in all our hearts. Some seek to do good. A few seek to do evil. Many are confused and unsure which way to turn. People have given up on God because the message of God is distorted. Too much injustice is done in the name of Christianity. People quote scriptures at each other that neither have meditated on. The sword of the Word of God is to rip out the evil of your own hearts.

The message of God is love, not hate.

He gathers in all peoples and looks at their hearts. The motivation that moves them is apparent to our Lord. He sees the tears of the innocent. And He hears their cries for help.

His eyes take in the motives of the selfish perverted ones. And He burns with anger toward those who hurt the oppressed and lost. He sees the injustice to the strangers and foreigners in our lands. And He knows each tear that falls because of the greed of men.

Do you think you can fill your minds with fear, anger, and hate without bearing the consequences? Can you continue to oppress the poor — turn away people in need and not lose everything you have? This isn’t the way God works. His patience will come to an end and none will be saved. There is only one way to forestall the evil.

Wake up, church.

All the people in the world have worth and it is not just black or white or man or woman. We must seek to find solutions to the many crises on this earth. Our days must be filled with change and repentance. We need to start with God’s love in our own hearts and our own homes. Then we can truly change the world.

Our governments and people reflect the selfish greed we’ve allowed to grow in our own hearts. We must get on our knees and repent. Our government policies are hurting people and causing deaths. So pray to God for forgiveness and then start changing things.

Our laws must include swift support and help for immigrants world-wide.

Global disasters are increasing and creating more homeless refugees in every country. There should be no homeless people on this earth. We need to create more shelters, more tiny homes, and the infrastructure to support them.

Habakkuk 1

1 This is the vision with which the prophet Habakkuk was burdened.

2 How long must I cry, O Eternal One, and get no answer from You? Even when I yell to You, “Violence is all around!” You do nothing to save those in distress.

3 Why do You force me to see these atrocities? Why do You make me watch such wickedness? Disaster and violence, conflict and controversy are raging all around me.

4 Your law is powerless to stop this; injustice prevails. The depraved surround the innocent, and justice is perverted.

2:1 I will take my place at the watchtower. I will stand at my post and watch. I will watch and see what He says to me. I need to think about how I should respond to Him When He gets back to me with His answer.
